on Monday, March 9, 2026 at 7:30 pm at Knipton Village Hall, School House, 1 Church Hill, Knipton, NG32 1RN.

1 Welcome Address – Council Chair.
2 Attendees: Record of those in attendance.
a. To receive an application for one of the vacancies for the office of Parish Councillor and to co-opt a candidate to fill the seat. Abi Tame has  been nominated by the Chair, Andrea Leadenham & seconded by Sue Bellamy. Applicant to complete the forms namely: Declaration of Acceptance of Office & Declaration of Pecuniary Interest.  There are still two Councillor vacancies. 
To formally accept & note the resignation of Councillor Nigel Elias which was given at the February 9, 2026 meeting.

5 Minutes of Previous Meeting
Resolution to Approve minutes of the Parish Council meeting held on Monday February 9, 2026.

b. Finances including balance sheet, payments & available funds.

9 Parish Council: General. (Update and Discussion).
a. Play Area: Any outstanding items: Submission of the Final Report to SKDC to confirm completion of the play area so that the final payment of £6,000.00 (six thousand pounds is made)
b. SID and Road Safety - Update on pricing of new SID’s for Belvoir & Casthorpe Road. 
c. CSW (Community Speed Watch) - Update
d. Parking issues in Denton and any updates. 
e. Belvoir Castle events and general update 
Including: Forbidden Forest. Including a report from the Meeting held at Belvoir Castle on February 26, 2026 with representatives from Forbidden Forest, Leics Police, and the Vale Parish Group. 
f. Vale Parish Group - update on meeting held via Teams on March 3, 2026 to discuss the meeting held at Belvoir Castle & subsequent VPG response. 
g. Dog fouling - in response to a resident at the last Parish Council Meeting. Agree & confirm the wording of a letter to be delivered to all residents outlining the health dangers of not picking up your dog poo. 
h. Update on the request to SKDC for lighting the footpath between Park Lane & Hungate Road.

Decision: No Objections
The above proposal has been considered by this Authority and on the 23rd February 2026. 
Outstanding decisions:
Keepers Lodge - Caravan & Camping Site at Denton Lane, Harston. - Planning Decision Meeting regarding Keepers Lodge which was held at Melton Borough Council Offices, on Thursday February 19. 2026. After much discussion the application was granted permission. However; there are 27 conditions that must be adhered to. Confirmation of those conditions to be finalised by MBC (Melton Borough Council).
