4 Parish Council Declarations of Pecuniary Interest; none.

5 Items from District and County Councillors

Update regarding the Ward meeting held at SKDC Chambers on 20th May 2024 discussing the Emergency Plan. VA proposed Patricia to take the lead on this.

6 Minutes of Previous Meeting. To be approved.

7 Public Forum – 2 members of public present

General thanks and discussion regarding more promotion. Concern regarding Fishermans Gate as it has been vandalised and is now laying down. DPC to contact Welby Estates and Angling Association. 

8 Parish Clerk Update

Community Cleaner – report has been submitted. 

Clerk role to be advertised.

9 Parish Council: General. (Update and Discussion).

a. SID and Road Safety

a. Roundals and ‘Slow’ have been printed and look great. Ward Councillor Leadenham and Cllr Aldred to liaise regarding extending the speed areas. 

i) CSW (Community Speed Watch) is up and running and is already proven to be effective. Thanks to Nigel Elias for taking on the Administrator role. 

ii) Parking issues in Denton update from RL. Next Denton Digest to include considerate parking. Patricia to collate the Highway Code and advise. Location of the noise monitoring 

b. Belvoir Castle events - update on (Forbidden Forest & Noisily Festivals) Location of the sound monitoring has changed. ST to contact FF to discuss and confirm.

c. Update on the Vale Parish Group. Letters have been sent out across all Parishes. Next Meeting 12th June 2024

d. Dog fouling there has been a reduction in some areas. More information in the Denton Digest.

e. Play area, Hungate Road- update. Cllr RL will deliver SKDC leaflets to residents of Hungate Road and neighbouring properties. These will be delivered when SKDC confirm the start date. Cllr VA has insisted that no HGV movements are between school hours. Letter to be sent from DPC to SKDC asking for Construction Phase Plan, Programme of Works and more information.

10 Finance.

a. Monthly Report FY 2024-2025 Balance at 27th May 2024 is £19,216.47. 

b. Update on AGAR procedure & compiling end of year documents to send to the auditor and PK Littlejohn.

c. Auditor confirmed - D E Accounting & Payroll Services - Dendy Choma

d. Zurich Insurance – updating the new assets with the Speed Gun equipment.

e. Confirm payment to Councillor Leadenham for CSW

f. Village Hall bookings – 6 scheduled meetings for 2024/25 has been submitted. Each meeting will be invoiced for 2 hours and will be paid in May. Any additional hours will be invoiced separately.

11 Planning Applications.

a. New Applications - none

b. Current Applications & status:

Caravan & Motorhome Club - Caravan park located at Woolsthorpe by Belvoir. This application has been withdrawn by the Applicant.

Keepers Lodge - Caravan & Camping Site at Denton Lane, Harston. Response sent.
